§ 16-32. COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS; TERMS OF OFFICE.

  • (A) The Tourism and Convention Commission shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the Mayor of the city as follows:
    (1) Three Commissioners from a list submitted by the motel industry in the city;
    (2) One Commissioner from a list submitted by the restaurant industry in the city;
    (3) One Commissioner from a list submitted by the Chamber of Commerce; and
    (4) Two Commissioners named by the Mayor at large.
    (B) The Tourism and Convention Commissioners shall be appointed for terms of three years; except that, in making the original appointments, the Mayor shall appoint as follows:
    (1) Three Commissioners for a term of one year;
    (2) Two Commissioners for a term of two years; and
    (3) Two Commissioners for a term of three years.
